The Clarkson Teams, delivering Community Health Services for adults, children and adolescents, go the extra mile to include carers and consumers at every stage of the development and implementation of this mental health service. The staff have demonstrated and fostered the philosophy of consumer and carer participation in line with standard 3 of the National Mental Health Standards for Mental Health Services.

The modem of service is for individual and family practice that encourages consumer and carer participation in all aspects of service delivery. This commitment made by staff and management, allowed for the development of a string partnership with consumers and carers. A culture of understanding has developed from this partnership that has been beneficial to consumers, carers and service providers linked into the service.
